And Now Kevin Spacey.

The past few weeks have been full of depressing celebrity news. Sexual deviants are being discovered everywhere in the entertainment industry, with Harvey Weinstein's crimes being the catalyst for everyone to start speaking out. And now Kevin Spacey is added to the list of offenders. On October 29, Anthony Rapp revealed to Buzzfeed News that Kevin Spacey had attempted to seduce him when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26. This news alone is troublesome, but a few days later, even worse news broke. On November 2, an anonymous man revealed that he and Spacey had a sexual relationship when the man was 14 and Spacey was 24.

Although disgusting, this case is different from Weinstein's because Spacey was not extremely well established. He had just started to become a working actor when the relationship with the 14 year old began. But similarly, power in show business is a powerful "aphrodisiac" (to use that word extremely incorrectly) and was a way Spacey managed to manipulate this child. The anonymous man admitted Spacey had offered him roles, but nothing ever came from them. His manipulation by promises of success are detailed in this statement:

"I knew at that point he was starting to be a working actor. That was very glamorous to me, that he was having the beginnings of some success in that world. Enough that it seemed like he was going to get me these auditions. That all seemed very believable. When you’re 14, a lot of things seem believable, especially if it’s something nice."

The man also claims that he and Spacey would say they were in love. But once the man reached Spacey's age, he had an insight. He would pay attention to the 14 year olds he saw around, to gauge his sexual attraction to them. He wanted to see what Spacey saw. But he said, even of the ones who were six foot two and 200 pounds, "they all looked like children." He realized there is something legitimately wrong with an adult attracted to children.

And now for the worst part of all of this: the relationship between Spacey and the anonymous man ended when Spacey attempted to rape him. Spacey initiated sex, and attempted to penetrate the boy, to which the boy repeatedly said "no". Although being an actor usually means one has an understanding of language, Spacey did not understand the word "no"that day. Spacey continued to attempt to force himself on the child, but the child managed to free himself and got away. Kevin Spacey is a sexual predator and a pedophile, and hopefully Hollywood agrees.
